WHY DESTROY YOURSELF? WHY DIE BEFORE YOUR TIME? THE KEEPERS OF THE HOUSE TREMBLE. DESIRE IS NO LONGER STIRRED. DO NOT CONFORM ANY LONGER TO THE PATTERN OF THIS WORLD.

Queen's Diamond Jubilee Collage

My final set of four size A3 colour collages submitted for print onto the Queen's Jubilee Statue's dress.
Black and white trial runs. The mission was to depict 50 years of British achievements as a prominent unified nation. Manchester United football team and boxer Amir Khan received some negative feedback. He ain't everybody's fav sportsman and they ain't everybody's fav team, but come on.

A surface full of daunting photos: scissors, glue and card needed. There would be no need for craft blades as attention to detail was second in line to sorting out the larger jigsaw of things.
The final print onto this fabric flag was slightly different from my original designs. Talk about the cutting room floor. It happens. There is no total control in collaborations. The experience is the important thing.
Sculptor Nick Elphick created dozens of Queen's heads.
Too-low placement of Her Majesty's breasts?
Am I allowed to say 'Her Majesty's breasts?'
