A typical tile like the one in the top photo may begin by being squirted directly from the bottle. The paint will then be blown to give it the veiny watercolour effect. The tile in the top photo ended up as the top left tile in the bottom photo.
Tiles are only experimental so far. There are some missing in my bathroom but these ones are too big. Imagine a whole bathroom tiled in these? I'd be sat in that bath for hours.
Seriously though, life is too short for white (or blank) tiles. They are the sign of the council or the hospital. Get some funk into your life.
